chdh is a live hybrid performance proposing a symbiosis between sound and image, they complete each other until one cannot distinguish the one from the other. chdh creates a unique universe, cold but organic, bridging visual arts and electronic music. Cubes, rectangles or other basic geometrical shapes intertwine in complex organisations in a black and white environment, with simple and precise sounds.
This project evokes a virtual world, made from more or less autonomous abstract creatures. The movement of these peculiar audiovisual instruments is influenced in real time by two musicians making those live and react. The virtual objects then create data which is used for the synthesis of video and sound, hereby introducing a strong cohesion in between media.
chdh’s work also lead to the completion audio/video album vivarium.
